Hello! 👋🏽

I'm Alisha Soriano, a web developer with a preference for the frontend; based in the USA. I'm ardent about building applications that are user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing.

For contact send me an email.

Background

I have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, where I learned the programming languages of Java and C.

More recently, I have taken to the field of web development, where I have rediscovered my love for coding via JavaScript and React, as well as beautifying the end product with CSS. I love making my designs inclusive and as picture perfect as the mockup is.

Outside of coding, I love reading, listening to music, watching thought-provoking shows/movies, and learning.

Projects

Musicboxd

A fullstack web app that allows users to sign up or login and keep track of their reviews of albums they have listened to. Built using the MERN stack, and viteJS.

Tres y Dos/Three & Two

Taken from my childhood, Tres y Dos is a simle card game where the goal is to gather two cards of the same value, and three cards of the same value. Got them? You won! But be quick, that computer's really good at the game! Currently only playable against the computer, and is not yet responsive.

Travel Journal

A simple single-page React application to keep track of places you've traveled, or places you want to travel to. Built entirely from scratch based on visual mockup provided by Scrimba's Frontend Career Path.

Personal Dashboard Chrome Extension

First introduced in Scrimba's Frontend Career Path, I took the concept and applied my newly gained knowledge by starting from scratch. I used the Unsplash, OpenWeather and Quotable REST APIs, as well as the Geolocation Web API to create this personal dashboard.
